Dr. Beckwith’s Friday Inspiration For November 11th
Dear LSSSC team,
As we gather here on this beautiful Friday, I want to share some thoughts with you that have been on my heart. Today, I’m reminded of the importance of releasing people and blessing them as they go. We can call this message “Know when it is time to bless and release.” Let’s face it, who wants to do the same thing repeatedly with the same results? Unfortunately, I have found myself at this place many times. It pains me to cut people loose. It pains me, but I also know just how necessary it is. Sometimes, we will not release for fear of confrontation or conflict. Occasionally, we have gotten too close to see the glaring issues that others immediately see. So, my go-to is to pray when I am in conflict with my head and heart. I have read blogs for other perspectives, and I walk away with we are human and as long as we try to do what is right, leave everything else to God. So, it is okay to Bless and release.
In the words of Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
In our journey through life, we often encounter individuals who come into our lives for various reasons. Some stay for a season, while others may remain for a lifetime. The wisdom found in Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us of the profound value of blessing and releasing people from our lives. Trusting in the divine plan means understanding that not everyone who enters our life is meant to stay forever. Some are here to teach us, to inspire us, or to challenge us, but their purpose may not be to walk beside us on every step of our path.
Blessing and releasing people means acknowledging their impact on us and letting them go with gratitude and love. It’s about recognizing that as one chapter ends, another begins, and a higher purpose guides our paths.
We may only sometimes understand why someone enters our life or why they must leave, but we can trust in the wisdom of the divine plan. Just as the scripture tells us, by submitting to Him in all our ways, we allow God to make our paths straight. Blessing and releasing people become an act of faith and a testament to our trust in the more incredible journey ahead.
So, let us remember the value of blessing those who have crossed our path and releasing them with love and grace. As we do so, we open ourselves to new experiences, new relationships, and new growth, trusting that our path will indeed be made straight by a loving and wise hand.
May you find peace and understanding in the act of blessing and releasing in your own life. May this Friday inspire us to release and bless, to love and accept, and to be a team that lives out these values each day.
